Sister Jennifer Halling
Sister Jennifer Halling started her prison ministry before entering Mount St. Scholastica to become a sister. She had grown up in the Leavenworth and Lansing, Kansas area, two towns with multiple correctional facilities with varying levels of security. The Bethany Prison Ministry group worked with lay volunteers and Sisters of Charity in Leavenworth to visit registered Catholic inmates at the Lansing Correctional Facility. This group would have volunteers meet weekly in small groups with the prisoners to discuss scripture and pray. Along with studying scripture, the group would also bring in supplies that many of the inmates did not have access to due to limited commissary funds for Christmas. Sister Jennifer started volunteering with the group in 2010 and continued through her entering the Mount St. Scholastica community in 2016. She continued with this ministry until the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, which put the prison under lockdown.

La Hermana Jennifer Halling comenzó su ministerio penitenciario antes de ingresar al Mount St. Scholastica para convertirese en hermana. Creció en la zona de Leavenworth y Lansing, Kansas, dos ciuddes con múltiples centros penitenciarios con diferentes niveles de seguridad.
