Sister Joachim Holthaus

Sister Joachim Holthaus served as chair of the Music Department at Mount St. Scholastica College through the merger with Benedictine College from 1961 to 1981. In 1980, while still in that role, Sister Joachim was invited teach a fine arts class at the United States Federal Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas. She taught the class once a week during the fall term, offering inmates the opportunity to earn college credit through their participation. Her presence brought both education and artistic enrichment into the prison setting.

La Hermana Joachim Holthaus se desempeñó como presidenta del deparamento de música en el Mount St. Scholastica College a través de la fusión con Benedictine College de 1961 a 1981.
